Always rooted in emotion, at once joyous and sad, Kira's tunes 7PM-8PM are song-salve to sing you safely through. She's been singing and writing for years, performing since she was 17. Daughter is the debut release, a sampler plate of six songs to taste. Percussive guitar and bright, clear vocals accompanied by tasty, textural electric guitar and atmospheric droney loops. And the occasional summer storm.
Timing is everything for Timelord Smith 8PM-9PM. It was a chance meeting in early 2010 at an old factory building now art and music space in Hoboken between guitarist and vocalist Christine Miller-Polselli, bassist Damien Marianucci, and drummer Rob Plunkett that led to the formation of shoegaze band Timelord Smith. Now a rising force in the Hoboken music scene, Timelord Smith hopes the timing is right to promote their brand of shoegaze and 60s garage rock, a sample of which can be found on their new EP “Anvil”.
Transitshop 9PM-10PM is a fast rising alternative/indie-rock band whose debut EP was released in 2011 to critical acclaim and charted highly on the CMJ college radio charts. Based out of Philadelphia and New York City, the band’s live shows have become a spectacle in the northeast US while receiving radio play on over 50 FM stations nationwide! Their anxiously awaited full-length album was recorded in Detroit and will be released on Rock Ridge Records in 2013.
Since transplanting to Brooklyn from the Bay Area 5 years ago, Jason 10PM-12AM has penned a number of beautiful tunes inspired by city life all of which can be found on his two new albums, "Ewald" and "The Brooklyn Bedroom Sessions". Ewald's music is a groove infused mix of rock and 70’s pop and Jason's voice is like an old comforting friend. Ewald has been compared to the likes of Bill Withers, Jack Johnson, Steely Dan and Lenny Kravitz.
