Make Music New York Inc. is a NYC-based nonprofit that organizes two annual, participatory musical celebrations: Make Music New York on June 21st, the summer solstice, and Make Music Winter on December 21st, the winter solstice. Since its founding in 2006, MMNY has partnered with more than 1,000 community organizations and local businesses to present over 6,500 free concerts for audiences of hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, giving countless musicians the opportunity to perform for friends, neighbors, and strangers on streets, parks, and plazas throughout the five boroughs.
